The bank will donate money to the charities every time you use a cash machine at Tesco, until February 29th 2012¹. There are 750,000 people living with dementia in the UK and another 100,000 people will develop dementia this year. Together, Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland and Tesco want to try and make sure they don’t face it alone. Dementia can happen to anyone, there is no cure. It is caused by disease of the brain; symptoms include loss of memory, confusion and problems with speech and understanding. The number of people with dementia is increasing each year but most do not get the support or advice they desperately need.
