Win £500 a month towards your mortgage for a year!

It’s not the easiest of times to be paying off a mortgage on top of all your day to day expenses, so London & Country Mortgages have offered to pay up to £500 a month towards one lucky winner’s mortgage payments.

To enter the draw complete a full mortgage application to London & Country through Tesco Compare, either online or by phone on 0800 694 2444.

The winner will be drawn at random from applications submitted from the 6th November 2008 to the 29th December 2008, and informed in writing by the 31st January 2009.

Terms and Conditions

(a) Prize draw open to customers and non-customers aged 18 or over who are UK residents. Draw not open to employees of Tesco plc or L&C Mortgages, their families or anyone associated with this draw.

(b) (One entry per person). Customers who submit a full mortgage application to L&C, via the Tesco Compare mortgage service, either online or via an adviser will be entered. Deadline for submitted applications is 29th December 2008.

(c) To enter without submitting an application, please post your name and contact details to: Mortgage Prize Draw, London & Country Mortgages Ltd (L&C), Beazer House, Lower Bristol Road, Bath BA2 3BA. Entries are not returnable.

(d) Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules, delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered or illegible will be disqualified. No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in the post. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of entry.

(e) The winner will be drawn at random on the 14th January 2009 and informed in writing by 31st January 2009. London and Country Mortgages (L&C) will pay the winner’s monthly mortgage repayments for one year, subject to a maximum of £500 per month for 12 months. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not transferable. Information about the winner[s] will be published on the Tesco Compare website once they have been contacted.

(f) The winner[s] agree[s] to take part in publicity in connection with this prize draw.

(g) If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner[s] the promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winner[s] for having done so.

(h) The promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion without prior notice.

(i) The promoter is London & Country Mortgages Ltd (L&C), Beazer House, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, BA2 3BA.

(j) Existing mortgage holders:
The winner will be required to provide proof of their current mortgage payments in the form of a latest mortgage statement.

(k) First time buyers:
L&C will make the monthly payments for 12 months starting from the date of completion of the purchase and commencement of the mortgage (whether through L&C or another provider). The winner is required to provide proof of the completed mortgage. Completion of the purchase and commencement of the mortgage must take place within 6 months of the winner being drawn or the promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winner[s] for having done so.

(l) Payment:
Payment will be provided by cheque each month, issued by L&C to the winner. Should the winner’s monthly mortgage repayments change due to a change in interest rates (during the 12-month period), they will be required to supply a mortgage statement showing the revised payments to L&C as proof. There is no alternative to the prize. If the mortgage payment is less than £500 the excess money will not be paid to the winner.

(m) It is the responsibility of the winner to check the terms and conditions of their mortgage with their lender before making any additional repayments. L&C will not accept liability for any Early Repayment Charges incurred, or any mortgage payments missed by the winner.
