Q. I had 3 years No Claims Bonus but I have not driven for a few years. Can I still use it?

A. Generally a van insurance No Claims Bonus that is not being used on another policy may be used, so long as no more than 2 years has passed since the date you earned your No Claims Bonus. After this time, it may become void. You should check with the individual insurer to be certain.

A. Every driver getting a quote with Tesco Compare van insurance is entitled to a free Legal Expenses Insurance policy. This policy is designed to offer you up to £100,000 of legal cover in the event that you have a non-fault accident and want to pursue the party at fault to recover your costs. Contact the insurance provider whose quote you select for full details of the policy. The policy details will be emailed to you along with your quote, or you can phone us on 08000 898998 for more information.

Q. Am I allowed to drive another van?

A. You should always check with the broker you are buying your policy from as every policy differs in terms of the level of cover offered.

Q. Does having an alarm fitted save me money on van insurance?

A. Certain insurance companies give discounts for having an alarm or other security device fitted. This is usually between 5 and 10%.

Q. Can I pay monthly for my van insurance policy?

A. Many of our brokers will display the instalment options on the results pages, however some do not. If you wish to use a broker that does not display instalment options you will usually be given them when you click through to their site. Failing that, you can always call the brokers using the freephone numbers supplied. Some insurers will also charge interest on monthly premiums, so you should check the details of the policy.
