Since Sheilas’ Wheels shook up the women’s car insurance market in October 2005, the Sheilas’ Wheels brand has gone from strength to strength with its catchy jingle and iconic pink, sequin–clad Sheilas.

The idea for Sheilas’ Wheels grew from research we carried out at that time. We found that women’s claim’s cost less, and are responsible for far fewer driving convictions and have attitudes towards cars, driving and other road users that are often more considered than those of their male counterparts.

When we were designing the Sheilas’ Wheels car insurance product we wanted to offer a great deal to women buying car insurance – in terms of price, benefits and service.

Our comprehensive cover includes:

• Handbag cover up to the value of £300 (whilst in the car)
• Free courtesy car (whilst your car is being repaired by one of our approved repairers, comprehensive cover only)
• A female friendly repairer network

As part of our comprehensive car insurance policy we also give access to a dedicated counseling line run by trained professionals to help women cope with driving issues such as road rage or the aftermath of an accident.

We also offer motor legal protection, car hire, personal injury and breakdown covers that can be added to your policy.
